Hi Kathleen, Composition, colour and detail is perfect, may be the shadow a bit light. at the bottom tail, but is minor point.Overall presentation is great, i like it. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Kathleen I remember you from trek welcome here, this is a beautifull capture of the Greenfinch excellent DOF with a fine proud profile pose good clean background also something which is not always easy to catch with branches on a tree. TFS Rgds Necip

Hi Mohaimin. I have not done anything to the shadow and highlights, thats how good the betta beamer lights up the underneath without really showing a flash look. Do you think I need to turn my flash down so a little natural shadow comes in? I am still learning effects that force of light can give. I had the flash set at -3 and set M at 50mm and on sync speed, even though I had the big lens on. Any hints if you are using the BB would be great.

Hi Kathleen, Its a matter of taste, you flash work well.I prefer a natural light.,base on bird colour and nice texture/colour of branches, i like to have shaded abit underneath/3d effect to enhance the profile against the BG and absorb/soften the branch character to guide the visual .Just what i though.

Hi Kathleen, This is a first class capture of a Greenfinch, I use flash quite a lot for inflight shots and I juggle with the settings and find I often get a flat looking image, I see here that you used a betta beamer and the results you have achieved with it are terrific, I shall certainly look to get one in the near future, All the Best, Paul

Hi Kathleen, Lovely shot of the Greenfinch , its a great pose and has really good detail, I like the OOF green Bd that compliments the green of the finch.
