Biography
|
I've had a deep love of natural history all my life. The current state of the human world means I need my 'fix' of nature more than ever. I never tire of learning the wonders it has to offer.
I took up digital photography in 1999 - my first camera was a Sony Mavica which took floppy discs! Moved on to a Canon Powershot G1 in late 2001. Inherited a Canon 300D Rebel and a few lenses in summer 2005, and upgarded to a 400D Rebel XTi and 100-400mm 4.5/5.6 IS lens in autumn 2007. Although an 'entry level' DSLR, it's been a brilliant camera to learn techniques and I've had hundreds if not thousands of hours of fun with it. However, I was starting to find it was becoming a limiting factor in my photography so I have recently upgraded to the Canon 5DMkII - 21MP, full frame, good low light performance AND high definition video - how could I say no? ;p
